Runs well, and fresh from service. The body was glued on by pervious owner. The coal load isn’t sitting flush in the bunker but this just need a drop of glue with needle applicator.

History: Designed by Robert Riddles and Hunslet of Leeds, the J94 / Hunslet Austerity were produced in huge numbers. Known as “Buckets” these loco where initially built for the War Depart, however the majority of the class where built post war for industrial railways. With production continuing until the mid 1960s! Due to wartime demands, many of the early locos where constructed by number of different engine company’s. 68079 was built by Andrew Barkley & Son in Kilmarnock in 1946.

Later in 1946 the LNER Purchased 75 of the class from the war department. Used primarily for shunting, some of the class did however find a niche for themselves. working freight and enthusiast specials on the heavily graded and lightly laid Cromford & High Peak line in Derbyshire. 68079 was one of the loco that regularly worked line. She was scrapped in 1966. 

Two of the original J94s survive as well 70 of the industrial versions.
