A good runner, and diecast boiler. Sadly missing it detail pack.

History: 2524 was built at Startford Works in 1902, To the design of James Holden and A.J Smith. She was a Claud Hamilton of the S46 class. She carried the running number 1873 and wore the extremely attractive GER lined ‘Ultramarine’ Blue.

In 1923 she passed into LNER ownership. She was renumbered to 8873, and classified D14, Carrying LNER ’Apple Green’ livery. In June 1939 8873 was rebuilt with a Gresley Round Top, Superheated Boiler. This meant she was again reclassified as a D16 “Super Claud”. During WW2 she was painted into unlined wartime black. She was officially renumbered to 7743 during the 1942 LNER renumbring scheme. However records show she never actually carried the number in service. In June 1946 she was again renumbered to 2524.

Upon British Railways formation in January 1948, records show the loco was Allocated to Great Yarmouth (South Town) depot. The model depicts this point in the locos life. Due to cost and sheer number of renumbering and rebranding the locos for BR. Some like 2524 had the suffix E added to the start of running number, standing for ’Eastern Region (of BR) and British Railways spelled out on the tender. She carried this livery until late December 1950, when she was renumbered one last time to 62456 and repainted in Lined BR black. In July 1958 she moves depot. Making the short trip from Great Yarmouth South Town to Great Yarmouth Beach Depot (32F) on the Former M&GN. She wasn’t there long. With Closure of the M&GN Already announced she moved to Norwich Thorpe Depot on the 21/02/1959, 1 weeks before complete closure of Yarmouth Beach station and depot. She was placed into storage within a month of arriving at Norwich Thorpe and withdrawn for Scrapping in March 1960. She had completed 58 year and 10 days of service. Sadly her and her entire class where all scrapped.
