Hornby R2722 (OO) Ex LMS, 7P Princess Coronation. No.46252 “City of Leicester” in Experimental British Railways Lined Black. DCC Ready

Runs well. Nicely detailed model. The model is lined BR Black. In the very early days of BR the livery’s were not set in stone. BR lined black became the livery for mid power mixed traffic loco, however some larger locos already in wartime black did receive the livery. The model depicts the loco as she was in about 1949, ie British Railways written on the tender and 7P classification. The Coronation where updated to 8P in 1951. 46252 was one of the non streamlined Coronation built in 1944. The loco was fitted with a semi streamlined tender.
