A charming model. Runs well. Its ’Sound fitted’. This is powered by 9 Volt Battery in tender and produces a hissing noise. The middle axel on the tender has a steel strip on half of it. When the wiper pickups from sound machine it makes contact with the steel plate on the axel a hissing noise is made and when the contacts touch the plastic side of the axel it goes silent. When running this causes it make a chuffing noise as the electrical circuit is made and broken as it runs. The model has a new 9V battery fitted.
By modern standards the locos sound is awful, but it was a very early attempt at a model with sound. The model is generally good condition, but it has had a repair to hand rail on the cab.
The model is in as preserved condition with the 1950s fitted Stanier Boiler. This as how she looked during her years at Bressingham Steam Museum in Norfolk, complete with her Bell from her 1933 tour of North America.

However, if an item is defective and evidence can be supplied of an issue, refunds can be granted without returning the model. Refunds can take 10 working days to appear in your account from the date of issue. Locomattive Models is responsible for lost or damage in the post. Where possible repairs will be offered. All parcels are insured while in transit. If after 30 days your model develops a fault, please do feel free to get in contact, as we may still be able to assist. Unless requested otherwise all parcel are sent via Royal Mail or Parcel Force (If a Large Item). Please do get in contact if your model is a taking a long time to arrive. Royal Mail do not consider an item lost unless it undelivered after 10 working days of them taking possession of it. Locomattive model will not refund for lost items until this 10 working day period has passed.
