Trix [3 rail] (HO) Adler Train Pack.

Really pretty set, and typically from Trix it’s very nicely made. The motor and pick up are in the coaches, the loco is effectively a dummy.

Note: Please be aware, that Trix 3 Rail pick up power differently to Hornby Dublo. The running rails to be insulated, meaning it won’t run on Hornby Dublo Track Either.

The lead coach is missing a buffer, it’s simply a red plastic square and can be replaced with ease.

History: Alder (Eagle) was a Planet type loco built by Robert Stephenson in 1835 in Newcastle. Adler was ordered by Bavarian Ludwig Railway. She was the first ‘Modern’ steam loco to run in what is now Germany. She differed from many of Planet Type, but being 2-2-2 rather than a 2-2-0. This was because the BLR was laid very lightly, and required a axel loading of no more than 3.5 tons. A modern replica have been built and is operating in Germany.

The model has been tested a purpose built bit of track and does run well. It’s also been serviced.
